PROPHETIC UTTERANCES

1 Tim 1:18: To Timothy my son, I am giving you this instruction, in keeping with prophecies made concerning you, that in may recalling them, you may fight the good fight.

At the beginning of the year, I asked a question on my WhatsApp status asking what prophetic message or what is commonly known as themes is your church standing on this year. Some of the responses shared were “Year of dominion-Winners chapel, Year of Open Heavens-Tent of testimonies, Not by might but by His spirit-Citam, Reset and Reposition-Destiny Life Church, Year of restoration-Jubilee Christian church” and so on. For my church it is SEASON OF EXPLOITS AND POSSESION OF GATES. Forgive the large italics, am just excited. Anyway, I want to help you understand the importance of such declarations and themes.
At first, when I was looking at all these themes, in my naivity I used to wonder “kwani God anaongea mara ngapi...Hana message ya Kenya..” But this is what I have been learning.
First, it’s paramount to understand that every parent carries a blessing and therefore being under spiritual parents is important to access these blessings that are targeted for the community. The Bible in Ephesians tells us we should not evade the fellowship of believers. It is in this fellowship that we get such prophetic utterance like the years themes. Paul writes to his son Timothy and tells him to take heed of any prophetic declarance made in his life for those will be the weapons he will use to wage a good battle. Allow me to bring you to your attention that God doesn’t speak to only excite you but to challenge you as well. And how else can you know what he has said if not for the prophetic utterances made in your life. This is what Paul is saying, take heed of whatever was spoken to you.
God is working something in your life through the community he placed you. A battle is faced by an army not an individual. In your warfare, He has placed you in an army of believers. Align yourself to receive what God is doing in that specific community you are in.

Now if you are not in any church, I’d encourage you to find a community of believers. Eve was attacked WHEN SHE WAS ALONE. It’s dangerous to be alone.

Be keen to listen to what God is saying in your life and in your communities.
Get the right alignment.
God bless you.
