Revelations 1:6 And hath made us KINGS unto God His Father.....
Now Identity is a topic or rather a sermon that would take a whole sermon series but I would just handle a scope from this verse today. If I was to introduce myself I would say My Name is Natasha daughter of so and so, C.E.O of a small SME somewhere. I write devotional messages on my blog page and go on and on and on about things that will describe me. That shows that I know who Iam and where I stand physically as now. Let me take for example the part where I am a C.E.O. Being a C.E.O there is a way I should behave and present myself. For the fact that I write devotional messages then my life should be that which is led by faith and all that. There is a story to how your titles match up to your living!
So the author of revelations here tells us that we have been made KINGS! Now it's important to understand what that title comes with.
A story is told of a man who wanted to get to the White House . So the man went to the gate and the guard would not let him in.A few minutes later, a black car came and was allowed in. The man went and asked why that car was allowed and he was told that that was the presidents daughter so she was allowed to get in. A few minutes later again another man came and showed a tag and was allowed. The guy who was waiting to get in went and asked the guard again who was that and he was told he had an appointment with the president. After some time the president came out and told the guard to let that man in since he was his cousin. The cousin to the president had wasted a lot of time outside the presidents house since he did not understand his relationship with the president.
Many of us Christians live such lives. We do not understand who we are and the position we hold in the kingdom thus live Christian lives moving round and round. We are told that we have been made KINGS and kings for one EXERCISE AUTHORITY! We are heirs...sons and daughters of a Father who does not change. A father who is IAM and not I WAS! We are citizens of an unshakeable kingdom. I believe if we would understand this...then we will start Reigning like the KINGS we are.
God bless!
