THE MULTITUDE
Matt 14:22 Then he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to THE OTHER side..while he dismissed THE CROWDS!
2017 is here...Yaay!! New resolutions have been set...we all have goals that we hope to achieve in 2017 and are all praying for a year full of Gods favor, the Year of the Lord as promised in Isaiah.
But here's the thing...If we really want to move sides...and get to Achieve our dreams in 2017 we need to shed of the crowds in our lives. Jesus wanted to get to the other side..and he knew he could only do that by moving with the people who would help him and that's why he told his disciples to get in the boat. Can you imagine what would have happened if he had also told the crowd to get into the boat...? Most definitely the boat would sink..and that's the same thing that will happen to us if we allow the crowd to move with us as we step into 2017...
The crowds here can mean literally the people in our lives who do us no good...plus also some of the things that burden us. Maybe you have carried some of the burdens of 2016, thoughts that only depress you.....Jesus shows us the aspect of shading these things as they can sink our boat...
Friends, let's step into 2017 and remember to shake of the crowds or multitudes from your life this year. God bless.
