SUNSTAND STILL
Joshua 10:12 ....and he said, 'Sun, stand still thou still at Gibson and thou moon in the valley of Aijalon.' And the Sun STOOD STILL and the moon STAYED, until the nation took vengeance....
This passage fascinates me to this day. Isn't it amaizing how the prayer of one man affected the victory of a whole nation.
Many a times we hear preachers and other believers saying we should pray in Gods will. Even Jesus sealed his prayer by the words,'let thy will and not mine be done.'Matt. 26:39
But many times I asked myself what Gods will really is and the preachers would say again ,'Seek His will in the scriptures' however, it never occurred to me how that will will be in the Biblecome to be till recently.
So how do you know the will of God? And most importantly how do you pray in the will of God?
The Bible is the greatest books ever written and it's wonderfully amaizing how it has answers to everything. When you read the scriptures you will always find a passage that relates to your current situation and how Jesus or God handled that situation then that's how God wills.
For example, you may be praying for a friend or family member who is not a believer and you want him to come to the light, there is the story of Jesus calling Zacheus from the tree and you can pray in line with that passage. See, Ephesians 6:17 tells us that the sword of the spirit is the WORD OF GOD.
We should learn to trust in God and His word...That if He says He will supply All our needs according to His riches and Glory'Phil 4:19 then we stand with that in Prayer and surely we will strive forward to the prize that's already ours. Whilst praying SUN STANDSTILL PRAYERS!
God Bless!
