OLD LIFE VS NEW LIFE

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be satisfied
I once watched a demonstration about our life in Christ and the FULLNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
So the pastor started with a glass. He then filled the glass with water to the brim. He started by adding lemon juice, he then added vinegar. The color of water remains practically the same. He then added hot sauce..Went ahead to add alcohol and many other things and by the time he was done the color of water had changed to something close to dark chocolate then he said the drink was ready to be served as water.(Try to picture all this)
And this was his explanation:- When you accept Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit fills your life(the filling of the glass with water). But this is what happens, nothing has changed in terms of the old life..none of our circumstances change, all the previous positions to sin have not changed, some of our baggage is still there and etc. So what happens, when we fail to be vigilant, all those things begin to creep back in..So you start piling bitterness(Lemon juice)..Your self righteousness starts building up and you want to show everyone you got it all together(Vinegar) so you look something close to the clean water. Many other things starts piling up: addictions, adultery, pornograpy, hate, envy (Alcohol) and all these things contaminate us and we become that last drink(The chocolate colored one) and there we are standing ready to go out and spread the word. Now see, when we become that last drink, everyone we come into contact with can't see the difference between our old selves and our new selves. Now look, you are the 67th book of the Bible but does your life coincide with the other books?
So how do we regain the fullness of the Holy Spirit? By Faith..Like you first received it. By constantly reading the word. By constantly asking Him to renew you..To fill you a fresh...I like how Paul puts it in Ephesians 'Be BEING Filled with the Holy Spirit..' It's a continuos thing.
So should you be loosing your original identity go back to your first love and be filled new!You might just be the only book of the Bible that someone reads.
