THE ME IN THE PROBLEM

John 5:6 When Jesus saw him and knew he had been lying there a long time, he said to him.
'Do YOU want to be healed?'

Please note that Jesus asked 'YOU' and not IT the situation. Jesus already knew that the man had been  in that situation for long. But when He asked him, He asked whether the person and not the situation was to be changed.
Statistics show that almost 85% of the population today especially believers are battling with something, be it an addiction (drugs, pornography, behavior ) ,a wound or an unforgiving burden. This 85% are all hiding in the church to seek consolation or cover their wound just like the way the pool at Beth-za'tha had all sorts of sick people. (Vs3)
Many people are in the church to seek healing, or a breakthrough but do not want to admit they have or are the problem and will thus always blame the situation; just like the ill man.

Jesus wants to change us. We are His temple, his epistles and before the situation is changed; we have to change ourselves. We can go to church for comfort, for show but still not be changed.
Religion calls for(vs4) 'the one who steps in first would be healed' but grace through Christ comes to us and asks whether we would want to be changed. Being sure of this then we have to accept to be changed and stop blaming the circumstances and situations in our life. Allow breakthrough to come to you. If breakthrough comes to the situation, another different situation can still come and you will remain the same.
CHANGE YOU!

God bless!
