SONG SERMONS: GROUP MENTALITY

SIDEWALK PROPHETS- YOU LOVE ME ANYWAY
I want to do some devotions on songs. Today we will start with my favorite song by sidewalk prophet prophets.Lets start by looking at a part of it..

'🎶I am the man who yelled out FROM THE CROWD
For your blood to be spilled on this EARTH SHAKING GROUND
Yes and I turned away with this smile on my face with this sin in my heart
Tried to bury your grace and alone in the night
I still called out for You, so ashamed of my life...

1.FROM THE CROWD
Looking at the judgement of Jesus, Pilate in his own right could not find fault in Jesus and saw no reason to crucify Him. So did Herod. But the people in the CROWD yelled out together that He should be killed. However, after he had been killed the people went home beating their breasts.(Luke 23:18). Notice the singular of home (Luke 23:48)After yelling in crowds, everyone went to their home, sad noticing that they had killed their savior.

See, there is a great danger imposed in thinking in a group or using the group mentality to make decisions. One philosopher noted that in a group thinking the unilateral decision made is that of the loudest and most times the fellow with the lowest IQ.
Be careful in group mentality. Don't let the group decide on the direction your life is taking and besides if you let people control your life, you are letting it look like God has failed at His own creation.

God bless!
