IS THERE LIFE AFTER THIS?
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
So today I came across a story that I think will be best to explain this concept of being born again, salvation and the life after. I hope this story speaks to someone and builds your faith today.
In a mothers womb there were two babies. One baby asked the other: 'Do you believe in life after delivery?'
The other replied,'Why of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for that which will come later.' 'Nonsense,' said the first,' There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?'
The second said,'I don't know but I choose to believe there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can't understand now.' The first replied,'That's absurd. Walking is impossible. Eating alone? That's ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.' The second insisted,'well I think there is something and maybe it's different than how it is here.
The first replied,' Nonsense! Moreover if there is life, then why has no one ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life and after that, I expect darkness, silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere my friend.'
The second replied , 'well I have a feeling that we will meet mother and she will take care of us.'
'Mother? You actually believe in mother? That's laughable. If mother exists then where is she now?'
The second said, 'She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. It's in her that we live. Without her this world would not and could not exist. Besides, where do you think the umbilical cord comes from?'
'Well I can't see her so it's only logical that she doesn't exist.'
To which the second replied,'Sometimes when you are in silence and you focus and listen you can perceive her presence, and you can hear her loving voice, calling from above.'
I believe this perfectly describes us and Our Father.
I pray that God will speak to us and we will be able to understand His voice. I also pray that this story will bless you and the people you share it with.
God bless!
