EXPECTATIONS
Isaiah 43:18-19 Forget the former things; Do not dwell in the past. See, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up, do you not perceive it?
Subconsciously, we are always expecting something. You turn on the car key, expecting the car to move. You eat expecting to be full. Its a life of expectations. Did you know this applies in the Kingdom as well? I like to refer to myself as a child of faith. I function off of faith.
This takes me to the woman with the issue of blood. After she touched Jesus' garment, she got healed. This got me thinking. There were other people there also, I believe with issues as well. They had heard about Jesus, and had come to hear from Him. They knew of the miracles, believed in them as well. But did you know the woman with the issue of blood operated from a different dimension from them? That of faith, that of expectation. And it brought me to many of us today. Many believers have positioned themselves to the space of spectators. Many believers know and believe God can do something but their expectation from Him is limited. God meets you at your level of your expectation(Hebrews 11:1). We can decide to talk about the miracles or talk into them.
The Bible encourages us in James to wait for the promises of God like a farmer waits on harvest season. With God, its not about IF but WHEN. We cannot overestimate God. There is nothing like 'its not realistic..' God is the one who created reality, He is the one who determines what realistic is.
Take the limits off! Choose to expect from God. Remember, He cannot deny Himself from the expectations of the son, in Psalms, He says He grants us the desires of the heart. Don't let a lack of expectation keep you from experiencing your miracles. Reach out! Dare to believe God! Release your faith and watch how He respond! DONT JUST BELIEVE HE CAN, KNOW HE WILL.
God bless!
